This poses a serious problem for exposed workers and their employers. The basic goal of a Hazard Communication Program is to be sure employers and employees know about work hazards and how to protect themselves; this should help reduce the incidence of chemical source illness and injuries. This 2-hour online course is a review of Regulations regarding hazard communication and DOT markings as posted under Subpart D, Part 1926, from OSHAÆs Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. Be well versed in the rules, regulations, and standards established by OSHA on hazard communication and DOT markings The Williams û Steiger Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970 requires, in part, that every employer covered under the Act furnish to his employees employment and a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees. This course is part of a series which provides a cursory review of the OSHA Standards concerning a general interpretation, safety & health provisions including the Occupational Health & Environmental Controls. OSHA Safety: Hazard Communication and DOT Markings covers Section 1926.59 and 1926.61 of Subpart D of CFR 29. The Safety and Health Regulations for Construction comprise Section 1926. 1926.59 covers hazard communication. 1926.61 covers the retention of DOT markings, placards, and labels.
